GA is funded under ERDF and managed by WLB. GBC is a strategic and delivery partner in GA. GA’s objectives are:

To help identify and provide business opportunities in new and emerging economies, especially India and China

To organise trade missions

To provide coaching and mentoring for SMEs looking for joint ventures in emerging markets
EIP is funded under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) which is administered by the LDA and managed by WLB for the West London area. Its objective is:

To encourage SMEs to adopt and implement innovation and environmental best practice inorder to improve their business performance
(i) Starting Your Own Business (SYOB) is a half day, monthly workshop that explores the key elements of starting a business.
Delegates follow a structured agenda that begins with welcome and introductions, followed by a systematic approach to learning about the following:
- Is Self employment for me?
- Business Planning
- Business Structures
- Business registration, dealing with HMRC and your taxation responsibilities
- Small Business Finance
Delegates engage in individual and group discussions and exercises that culminate in the production of an action plan.
(ii) Business Planning is a two day programme that is designed to provide participants with the tools to develop all aspects of their Business Plan.
Delegates follow a structured agenda during the two days that begins with welcome and introductions, followed by a systematic approach to learning about the following:
Day 1:
- Market research
- Market segmentation
- Marketing Mix
- Developing a Marketing Plan
Day 2:
- Cash flow forecast requirements;
- Costing and pricing
- Short and long term finance and VAT
Delegates engage in individual and group discussions and exercises that culminate in the production of an action plan.
(iii) Growing Your Business (GYB) is a one day, monthly workshop that focuses on those elements that help businesses to grow.
Delegates follow a structured agenda that begins with welcome and introductions, followed by a systematic approach to learning about the following in particular:
- Growth opportunities and challenges;
- Investment and finance;
- Building and expanding a customer base;
Delegates engage in individual and group discussions and exercises that culminate in the production of a Business Growth Plan.
